# Search names and skills

Search partial names for matching locations, companies, or skills. Company results use the same numeric ID as `org_id` in company details.

| `type` | query | yes | enum: GEO, COMPANY, SKILL | What to resolve. GEO, COMPANY, and SKILL are the only real values -- LinkedIn silently serves SKILL results for anything else. COMPANY returns the same numeric id as /company's org_id (job search's f_C). |
| `geo_types` | query | no | string | GEO only: restrict geo granularity, comma list. |
