# Resolve a company

Resolve a company name, LinkedIn URL or handle, or website to a company name, email domain, public code organization, and LinkedIn handle. `basis` records the source used for each field.

- Platform: LinkedIn
- Request: `GET https://api.toolzerhub.com/v1/linkedin/company/resolve`
- Auth: `x-api-key` header
- Cost: 1 credit per successful request. Failed requests are not billed.
- Page: https://docs.toolzerhub.com/reference/linkedin/linked-in-company-resolve

| Parameter | In | Required | Type | Description |
| --- | --- | --- | --- | --- |
| `company` | query | yes | string | The company: a name, a LinkedIn company URL or handle, or its website. A host typed here is used as given -- it is an instruction, not a guess to second-guess. |
| `domain` | query | no | string | Override the mail domain. Normally omitted -- it is read from the company's LinkedIn page, or found by search when that page has none. |
| `github_org` | query | no | string | Override the GitHub org slug. Normally omitted -- plausible slugs are probed and the real one is used. |
| `resolve_github` | query | no | boolean | Probe for the company's GitHub organisation. Off skips it -- it is the richest free source of confirmed addresses but is rate-limited per IP, and a caller that does not need addresses need not spend that budget. |

## Example request

```bash
curl "https://api.toolzerhub.com/v1/linkedin/company/resolve?company=<company>" \
  -H "x-api-key: $TOOLZERHUB_API_KEY"
```

Success responses are wrapped as `{ "data": ... }`. Errors return `{ "error": { "code", "status", "message", "retryable", "details" } }`. See https://docs.toolzerhub.com/docs/responses-and-errors.
