# Search hotels (v1)

Get hotels and vacation rentals around a city, area or landmark for your dates and guests, with nightly and total prices, rating and a `property_token` for details and seller prices.

- Cost: 1 credit per successful request. Failed requests are not billed.

| `query` | query | yes | string | A city, area or landmark, e.g. "Shinjuku Tokyo" or "hotels near Central Park". A bare place is searched as "hotels in ". |
| `check_in_date` | query | yes | string | Check-in date. |
| `check_out_date` | query | yes | string | Check-out date. |
| `currency` | query | no | string | ISO 4217 currency for prices. Default: USD. |
| `adults` | query | no | integer | Adults staying. Prices are for this many guests. Default: 2. |
